Caution: This product is more amazing in real life than on a two dimensional website As you should well know here at ThinkGeek we are constantly striving to find tools for you, our loyal customers, to aid in your quest for World Domination. But we also want to encourage you to come up with schemes to conquer the entire Universe (and any parallel universes you might stumble across while conquering this one). And to properly conquer the known Universe, you'll need a a nice reliable star map. The Laser Stars Projector is not that map, but it sure does seem like one. And the second most important thing a Universe conqueror might do besides conquering Universes is seeming to conquer Universes. Keeps you buttered up for the real thing. Ok, carrying on then... When you turn off your lights and turn this unit on - trust us - you will be bamboozled with star rapture. That's the only way we can describe it. Everybody who has seen the Laser Stars Projector in action at the ThinkGeek headquarters has at least one 'Oh My Gods, that's Frakking brilliant!' moment. But ThinkGeek, what IS the Laser Stars Projector really? It's a unit about 10inches tall that projects a combination of green laser stars and blue (slightly ultraviolet-ish blue) clouds onto your ceiling, walls, pets, etc. Both the clouds and the stars are constantly moving and morphing, just like a proper Universe should. We pretty much figure this applies to a geek's motor vehicle as well. So, to allow you to access extra information about your car we would like to introduce the ScanGauge II Automotive Computer. This gadget is easy to install and provides a set of digital gauges, a comprehensive trip computer, and an engine trouble code scan tool. The digital gauges mode displays four different properties on the screen (for example, fuel economy, battery voltage, coolant temperature, and engine speed). The trip computer tracks your vehicle's maximum speed, average speed, driving time, driving distance, trip fuel economy and several other pieces of trip data. The engine trouble code scan tool lets you read standard engine trouble codes as well as clear the "check engine" light and other warning lamps. Ironkey Military Strength Flash Drives
Thumb drives are a convenient and cool way to carry around your data, and with drive sizes in the gigabytes, you can store a ton of photos, files, music, and video in a very tiny space. Unfortunately, due to their small sizes, they are targets for information thieves. Think about it - all that personal data - your resume, email, password-files, and pictures of your girlfriend (wink) can be picked up and copied and returned before you even noticed it was missing. You want to have this data handy, but handy for you and not for that scumbag down the hall with the sticky fingers. Like you, the US Military wanted portable but secure storage, and the guys at IronKey stepped up. They've developed the perfect solution that's one-part thumb-drive, and two parts Mission: Impossible. Their thumb drives hold up to 8 Gigabytes of data, but includes a hardware encryption chip that scrambles the data so as to be completely unreadable without a password. Passwords can be hacked, but not the IronKey. It's built to withstand attacks both virtual and physical. 10 incorrect password attempts, and the encryption chip self-destructs, making the contents of the flash drive totally unreadable. The contents of the drive are filled with epoxy, so if a hacker tries to physically access the chips, he'd more likely damage them instead. Even if he did get access to the memory chips, they'd be worthless without the encryption chip. Electron-shielded, even a scanning electron microscope can't get inside. Applications built right onto the IronKey help keep your personal data safe. For example, the password manager keeps your passwords safe. How?
